Having being built in 1964, more than 50 years later it was recognised that some of the buildings at Lancaster University required refurbishment works, included within the £167m scheme is the expansion and refit of the Faraday Building.

The experienced team at Anthony O’Connor & Sons were appointed by Eric Wright Ltd to carry out the refurbishment works on the Faraday Building and having successfully completed Phases 1 & 2 works are now underway to phase 3.
The AOC team have been assigned specifically to oversee the asbestos removal works and carry out all strip out and structural alteration works which will see the building stripped back to its original structure. Our team will also be responsible for the removal of all plant rooms to the roof to facilitate the addition of a new storey and internal alterations shall be completed before the site is handed back to the client prepared for the refurbishment works to begin.
